Update COVID-19 Coronavirus 24 March 2020

The government have advised that the holidays have been brought forward to begin on Monday 30th March- Tuesday 14 April. These earlier holiday dates will provide time to readjust, set up and enjoy family times.
As you know Holy Cross School will continue to support children's learning from home with a range of opportunities.
Students who were at school yesterday brought home the workbook we put together for children, at the different ages. If you didn’t manage to get your child’s workbook you are able to pop into school today to collect this- or we can drop it off to you.
We have also worked really hard to create online learning links which can be accessed on the school website www.hcm.school.nz. On our website there is a link to resources that will support you as adults also- we encourage you to use these.
From the 14 April distance learning will be more actively supported by your child’s classroom teacher who will be in touch with you. You are of course welcome to use any of the activities at any time from now as many of them provide creative and open-ended opportunities.
The Ministry of Education are putting together further resources which we will use to regularly review, add to and update our home learning opportunities.
